In this role, you'll tackle an organizations’ most challenging problems, including the ones they didn't know existed. Can you be a team multiplier and are you up for the challenge? ResponsibilitiesLead all aspects of the adoption, optimization and integration of Splunk’s core, enterprise, and enterprise cloud solutions into the customers’ business architecture.Be successful working with all levels of an organization from the C-suite down to individual developers and SRE’s.Defend the necessity of the Splunk investment to VP and CxO leadership based upon risk, allocation of resources, tools/people spend, and proprietary vs open-source approaches.Provide collaborative communications and customer partnership that allows the customer to feel valued, heard and supported.Deliver training to customer and partner teams and end users on advancing technology where you are teaching without having full knowledge.Mentor and coach junior consultants and partner consultants in new knowledge and process areas, in the technology, and more importantly in the non-technical areas.Create relevant materials for field teams focused on new product features, domain trends, and other deep technical content.Interact with customers and prospects to understand their business challenges and desired outcomes.Partner with field leadership to jointly develop strategic and technical account plans.Understand current and future product developments to communicate to the field, as well as contribute to future development direction based upon customer needs and your expertise.Partner and collaborate in ongoing initiatives, such as new services offerings and product interlocks.Deliver presentations and technical briefings to customers on Splunk premium products and solutions. Assist and lead with critical Splunk evaluations and POC’s.Deliver on paid customer subscriptions (Assigned Expert, On-Demand Services, etc) only.Good corporate citizen – two-way flow of relevant and timely information; work as a team for the most efficient use and deployment of resources.Embrace continuous learning, maintain up-to-date knowledge of Splunk products, functional knowledge, and industry best practices.Requirements 5+ years of current experience in technical consulting or sales with experience in Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Enterprise Cloud in large scale and highly distributed architectures3+ years experience supporting customer facing multi-tenant infrastructure (SaaS) or similar cloud related services3+ years experience with at least one of the following Cloud providers: AWS, Azure or GCPCertifications and Accreditations:Splunk Certified Core ConsultantSplunk Accredited Splunk Cloud Fundamentals ConsultantAWS Certified Cloud Practitioner CertificationExperience with both the Unix and Windows operating systems; comfortable on the command line interfaceStrong open systems application and infrastructure knowledgeClear understanding of network and system management solutionsOrganized with a healthy sense of urgency, able to set; communicate; and meet deadlines with competing prioritiesAbility to quickly explore, examine and understand complex problems and how it relates to the customer’s businessWorking knowledge or recent experience with scripting languages (bash), application development (java, python, .NET), databases and analytical toolsExperience with automation/orchestration tools, at least two of the following: Ansible, Puppet, Chef, TerraformAbility to stop, collaborate and listen with technical and non-technical consumers from application developers to executive level partnersSelf-motivated and self-educating, always interested in keeping up with technology and improving oneselfAble to travel up to 50% within regionEducation:Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or substantial relevant on the job experience Thank you for your interest in Splunk! no -- Principals only.
