About the Position Department of Families, Fairness & Housing VIC – Melbourne VIC $127,467 - $170,579 a year Full time POSITION SUMMARYAre you:Able toapplyauditmanagementthinkingto help achieve organisational goals?Able to establish, develop and maintain effective business relationships with internal and external stakeholders.A strong leader and communicator?An exciting opportunity exists for a Internal Audit Manageron a Ongoingbasis in the Risk and Audit Unit.The Risk and Audit Unit, led by the Chief Risk and Audit Officer, provides expert advice to the department on the application of the Victorian Government Risk Management Framework, supports the operation of the department's Audit and Risk Committee, and manages and coordinates the department's internal audit program.The unit is responsible for the following functions that are pivotal to driving improved performance across DFFH:Internal Audit and Victorian Auditor General's Office (VAGO) relationship- supports the department's Audit and Risk Committee and manages the internal audit program and the VAGO relationship.Risk advisory - manages the department's risk policy, providing advice on how to manage and mitigate strategic and operational risks.The InternalAuditManager is accountable for supporting the Chief Risk & Audit Officer in developing and delivering of the department's Internal Audit Program, coordinating responses to external audits (e.g. VAGO), and for developing assurance reports and briefings to executive management and the Audit & Risk Management Committee.The Internal Audit Manager is responsible for:effectively and efficiently conducting risk-based assurance reviews of the department's key governance systems, processes, and functionsleading, contributing to, and successfully managing continuous improvement initiatives within the unit.As our ideal candidate, you will be required to demonstrate:LeadershipSystems thinkingChange managementOrganisational awarenessConceptual and analytical abilityVACCINATION REQUIREMENTS POLICYThe department is committed to providing and maintaining a working environment that is safe and without risk to the health of its workers and clients.
