Eyewear DesignerPosition Type Full time ongoingPosition Melbourne Salary 65,-75, of the role This position will be charged with creating and managing sketches for new eyewear collection; this includes collaboration with product developers and designers overseas.r>ResponsibilitiesResearch domestic and international markets to identify new products and market trends while maintaining the brand identity and business strategy.r>Work closely with the Managing Director and the executive team to research and develop proprietary and innovative construction details -hardware, material combinations, new production/design, techniques, etc.r>Proficiency in generating fully detailed technical drawings inclusive of section drawings, exploded views and notes for prototypingCommunicate with manufacturers in mainland China to ensure smooth production and design based on technical specificationsPrepare presentation boards and accessory chartsActively participates in industry conferences and trade showsWork travel be requiredRequisite skills and experience Formal qualification in Product Design7 years' experience in creating collections for private labels and licensed brands Proficiency in design software such as Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDraw, AutoCadGood freehand sketches for initial concept presentationGood technical knowledge of prototyping, manufacturing and costing to achieve appropriate designs with performance, manufacturability, sustainabilitySensitive on market trends and strong fashion sense with creative mindPositive, responsive, self-motivated, able to work independently under pressureGood spoken & written English, Cantonese and Mandarin no -- Principals only.
