| ROOF installer/framer – and/or welder/carpenter Halikos Roofing Pty Ltd DARWIN NT Roof Framer $35 to $40 per hour plus allowances - Welder/Carpenter $40 to 45 ph Applicants MUST be in and/or have Work rights for Australia and be able to relocate to Darwin at their own cost. Job purpose - To fabricate and install commercial, industrial or domestic roof framing and trusses and install metal roofing iron on the framing to ensuring it is insulated and waterproof Tasks Include: • Fabricate, erect and install roof trusses. • preparing the roof for roofing iron including the laying of safety mesh and insulation including vapour barriers which are extremely important in the tropics • installation of the metal roofing iron including the installation of sheetmetal box guttering, rain water sumps, downpipes, purpose made gutterings and all types of flashings (weather proof coverings) as well as measuring, cutting, joining and laying the metal roof sheeting • handle welding and carpentry materials, tools and equipment • apply protective paint coating systems on joins, etc if required Skills and experience The successful applicant shall possess the following: Previous roof and truss installation & fabrication experience An understanding of the commercial aluminium window and door fabricating industry Previous experience in the use of tools such as saws, drills, welders Excellent communication skills Ability to work unsupervised Enjoy working in a team Exceptional work ethic and organisational skills Drivers License required
