About the Position About the company Our client is a leading NT Civil Construction business based in Darwin who have worked on major defence, industrial, community, commercial and remote construction projects in the NT. Due to current and upcoming projects and business growth, they now have an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join their team. About the role Working closely with Civil Construction Manager, the Civil Project Manager is responsible for strategically managing various aspects of projects from project contract award, through to execution and close out ensuring effective management of people and processes to deliver projects on time and within budget. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Project Manager to join an industry leading team of professionals based on a remote road upgrade project outside of Katherine. The position will require the successful candidate to stay in the bush camp on a 11/3 roster. Leading and managing team of construction professionals including mentoring, training and performance management.Plan and manage project progress, forecasting, costing and reports. Direct and monitor sub-contractors, suppliers and plant hires. Oversee all onsite and offsite construction compliance with civil and safety regulations. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients and suppliers.Manage the commercial aspects of the project, including contract review, contract management and scope variations. Skills&Experience The successful candidate for this role must be able to prove and demonstrate the following: Hold Project Management qualifications. Must have a successful and proven track record in a Civil Project Management role. Strong contract, administration and time management skills. A proven problem solver with the ability to forward plan and think outside of the box.Be confident in using computer software including Microsoft suite. Possess strong leadership/Supervisor and communication skills. Have an understanding of OFSC compliance and WHS National legislation act®ulations. What's in it for you?
