Operations Manager                    
                    
who will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operational requirements to achieve ISACNT's objectives, goals and key performance requirements. This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer. Purpose of the Position Manage the day-to-day operational requirements across the organisation.Support, advise and coordinate all operational activities with internal and external stakeholders. Conduct and manage the operational team. Oversee the daily activities of all operational departments within the organisation. Ensure consistent quality outcomes for all clients and stakeholders. Responsible for delivery and compliance against company contracts.Operational Management To provide leadership and management for the day-to-day operations and activities. Provide ongoing leadership and management to team leaders and employees to ensure compliance with operating policies, procedures, organisational values. Engage and influence outcomes that will contribute to and support a positive culture throughout the organisation.Formulate operational and team plans to identify how ISACNT will deliver appropriate activity with all industry sectors in the Northern Territory. Manage the facilitation of development of workforce, training and skills development programs to meet current and future workforce needs. The Operations Manager will be involved in recruitment, employee selection and training, and will, subject to delegation, conduct and manage disciplinary processes.Oversee the collection, analysis and reporting of data, and other information related to current and future workforce needs, skill development initiatives, and other relevant strategies. Manage the operations of ISACNT within annual budgets, identify efficiencies, provide input as required by the Chief Executive Officer.To work with the Chief Executive Officer to improve operational management systems, processes and best practices. To develop and manage strong and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, by enforcing ISACNT's policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal, policy and work, health and safety legislations and regulations.Undertake reasonable activities both for the Grant and non-Grant activities as required by the Chief Executive Officer. Be responsible for leading the operational meetings and sharing outcomes with the Chief Executive Officer. Ensure teams are working collaboratively to ensure research, projects and workforce development outcomes are delivered accurately and on-time.Preparation of high-level reports, submissions, and other material, on time and as required by the Chief Executive Officer. To undertake professional development, intrastate and interstate travel associated with the role when and if required. Participate in strategic planning activities as required.Perform other duties commensurate with skills and experience, as directed. Formal qualifications in Business, Project Management, Leadership and Management or relevant qualifications and extensive experience in a related field. High level conceptual, analytical and collaborative skills, with the ability to interpret and manage the social, business, political and organisational environment.Proven ability to engage on diverse topics with a variety of industry groups, work through complex issues, and gain acceptance for agreed directions across disparate stakeholder groups. Practical solutions-focus and proven capacity to manage multiple and competing priorities. Extensive knowledge of the organisational, financial, business, regulatory, people and resource management principles and practices at a small business level.Proven ability to manage diverse teams, multiple competing interests, and negotiate positive outcomes to gain commitment to agreed priorities. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills; stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills; including the ability to negotiate and deal with government and senior officers and to interact positively and effectively with culturally diverse groups.Knowledge of the NT and national legislation and policies relational to Vocational Education and Training. Knowledge of the ANZSIC and ANZSCO framework. Develop and maintain a position team culture through engagement and leadership. Empower others through delegation. Proven ability to influence change and deliver results.Proven ability to deliver against agreed objectives. Ability to undertake intrastate and interstate travel associated with the role. Human Resources qualifications or relevant experience in a human resource-related field.
