About the Position As the National Commercial Manager , you will be responsible and accountable for driving the growth of our Downer Freight business and customer base. This is a senior commercial role with an element of business development and you will be expected to find, bid for and win large accounts. Reporting to the General Manager– Freight, you will develop strong relationships within Downer and with prospective and existing clients to ensure you articulate our customer value proposition, as well as supporting customer requirements and outcomes. You will also be required to:Obtain, manage and utilise key customer data and information to support the development of compelling commercial offers Identify key stakeholders to develop and manage stakeholder plans, to ensure broad customer/internal engagement to support business outcomes Achievement of annual revenue targets and key performance metrics are achievedPresent to potential multi-million-dollar clients to win business As a member of the Downer Freight team, you will be required to undertake interstate travel to meet with internal stakeholders and clients. When required, you will assist with a range of tasks associated with the acquisition, retention and growth of accounts, ensuring that our clients receive outstanding customer .About you You will have at least 5+ years’ Rail industry experience in a Senior Commercial or Business Development role. Strong experience managing the bid / tender process for large, corporate businesses and winning multi-million-dollar accounts will be essential to your success.
