THE ROLE
Are you: Looking to apply your commercial acumen on a high-profile program that will deliver quality, secure and affordable housing to people in the Victorian community who need it? An experienced project manager with a focus on building and contributing to a strong team culture? Experienced in the delivery of highly complex or large-scale social infrastructure projects? Passionate about collaboration and partnership between the non-profit sector and government? Experienced in construction or contract management in a housing or social infrastructure context? A rewarding and challenging opportunity exists for a Senior Project Manager within the Community Housing Unit of the Housing Growth and Commercial Development Branch of Homes Victoria. The Senior Project Manager will work in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team focused on delivering the Government's agenda of increasing access to social and affordable housing for Victorians. This will be achieved through partnership with non-profit community housing organisations that develop, own and manage social and affordable housing. These organisations are positioned to play a leading role in Government's landmark $5 billion social and affordable housing investment program, known as the Big Housing Build. This position will play an integral role in the planning and delivery of fair, transparent and effective capital funding programs and contributing to the systematic management of a portfolio of capital funding contracts with community housing organisations. The role aims to ensure that community housing organisations deliver quality new social housing projects on time and within budget, in line with their contractual commitments to government. The role requires a dynamic and flexible candidate, skilled in project management, government procurement frameworks and commercial transactions and who are able to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders. ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
1. Contribute to the successful delivery and completion of procurement rounds and projects by community housing organisations consistent with contractual commitments through key activities which include: contract administration, including certification of milestones, management of milestone payments and execution of ancillary agreements and security contract variations and compliance, including compliance with internal governance protocols relationship management, including leading engagement with key internal and external stakeholders. leading the preparation of media announcements and strategic communications material as required. 2. Apply project management principles and methodologies to coordinate the work of a team of Homes Victoria employees, consultants, and subject-matter experts, and to ensure that project team members: provide advice, analysis, and input in timely manner in accordance with the program requirements and objectives maintain a clear and consistent approach to assessing funding proposals in accordance with the requirements of probity contribute where necessary to project governance and reporting requirements. 3. Support the development of clear, concise, and authoritative reports and advice to Ministers and senior officials in Homes Victoria on program implementation, highlighting key risks and mitigation strategies.
