About the Position Management - Agency (Human Resources&Recruitment) We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our on hire and recruitment business servicing Australia and New Zealand. The General Manager has responsibility for maximising operational and safety performance of the organisation. You will be working closely with the senior leadership team to contribute to the continued growth and success of this expanding business.In this role your main responsibilities include: Manage the growth&development, planning, implementation and execution of our level agreements Identification of new business opportunities Presentation and sales capability to convert new opportunities into expanded service options and new clients Leadership, development and training of our consulting and account management teamEnsure the business operates safely and compliantly Liaise with our operations and service teams to ensure service levels are met Effective resource planning Identifying continuous improvement to drive efficiency and growth Identification and mitigation of business risk The main liaison with customers to enhance relationships, expand the business and foster mutually beneficial outcomesYou must be able to demonstrate: Extensive experience working in a managerial role within the on-hire labour and recruitment industry Experience servicing the industrial sector - transport / logistics / distribution Effective and professional communication skills A history of consultation with a broad range of internal and external stakeholdersStrong leadership capability Time management and problem-solving skills Exceptional planning, organisational and analytical skills Reporting writing and project management capability Understanding of legislative and compliance requirements relevant to Fair Work Australia, Labour Hire Licencing, Industrial Relations and Workplace SafetyUnderstanding of industrial instruments Ability to adapt to changing priorities and situations Ability to travel within Australia&New Zealand Strong administration skills and computer literacy It is an inherent requirement of this role that you can pass a fit and proper person test / national police check.
