Fish and Seafood Processor Job Description and Responsibilities:                  
                        
  • Load and unload trucks of pallets with large fish bins
    •                     
  • Transporting and stacking fish bins in warehouse and yard
    •                     
  • Re icing fish bins
    •                     
  • Processing fish, removing innards and gills, scaling, slicing and portioning seafood
    •                     
  • Grading seafood
    •                     
  • Packaging processed seafood and packing for transport
    •                     
  • Maintaining automatic seafood processing equipment
    •                     
  • Operating automated seafood processing equipment
    •                   
Qualifications & experience                  
                        
  • Willing to complete additional on the job training
    •                     
  • Ability to work in cold climate (cool rooms)
    •                     
  • Driver licence
    •                     
  • 2 years of experience processing seafood
    •                   
Job Type: Full-time Location: Salary: $53,352.00 per annum ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………. Deckhand About this role: We are looking for a deckhands with great active listening skills and the ability to work under pressure. In this role, you will be loading and unloading cargo or luggage, relaying important information to the crew, assisting with watchkeeping duties, and ensuring the general upkeep of the vessel. Job Responsibilities and Description:                   
                        
  • Greasing and cleaning machinery.
    •                     
  • Moving heavy objects around.
    •                     
  • Using various ropes, knots and radio and navigational equipment.
    •                     
  • Assisting during emergencies and effectively using safety equipment.
    •                     
  • Performing general maintenance duties like painting, sweeping and mopping.
    •                     
  • Preparing cabins for crew or passengers.
    •                     
  • Cooking meals.
    •                     
  • Serving food and drink to passengers.
    •                   
Requirements:                  
                        
  • Physical fitness and strength.
    •                     
  • Knowledge of maritime safety.
    •                     
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination.
    •                     
  • Willingness to work in harsh climates.
    •
