About the Position Civil Site/Construction Manager - FIFO The Role Exact Contracting are looking for an experienced Civil Site/Construction Manager with a sound understanding of civil earthworks and road construction to join our Carpentaria Highway Project in the Northern Territory. Reporting to Senior Management, you will be responsible for taking lead and driving the results of projects whilst ensuring all projects activities are completed safely, within budget and on schedule. The role is a fly-in/fly-out remote road construction project, the successful candidate will be working a 14 days on, 7 days off roster. Responsibilities will include: Leading and maintaining a strong safety culture in all operations; Driving operational efficiencies and innovation; Preparing and managing schedule of works for timely execution; Managing a team of engineers to ensure QA compliance; Resourcing and procurement as per project requirements;Timely execution of project activities; Sound understanding of contractual and KPI requirements; Compliance with contract and KPI reporting; Effective cost control of project operations; Working with other departments to effectively manage work groups; Driving performance through leading from the front and providing feedback to employees;Effective leadership and people management, including managing HR matters in a timely and appropriate manner; and Client management. The successful applicant will have: Current driver’s licence; Experience in supervisory/management role (essential); At least 5 years industry experience in a similar role (essential);Tertiary qualification and background in Civil (desirable); Certificate IV or Diploma in Management or equivalent experience/qualification (desirable); Completion of S1, S2 and S3 qualifications (desirable); Experience with people management, including a good understanding of HR compliance&responsibilities; Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including MS Project; Effective planning ability, time management, and prioritisation; Ability to demonstrate interpersonal skills and manage others; and Excellent ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external key stakeholders.Our Company Established in 1992, we have a reputable history in the Civil, Mining and Agriculture industries, built on delivering quality results for our clients.
