About the Position                  

                    Glencore’s McArthur River Mine (MRM) is a world-class zinc-lead mine with a long future. You’ll find our mine in the Gulf of Carpentaria 900 km southeast of Darwin and 64 km from Borroloola. We produce and process zinc, lead and silver from our open cut mine. It is then stored and transported to our Bing Bong loading facility and shipped to our customers worldwide. Our customers use our essential commodities in everyday products for mobility, infrastructure and communications.About the role: To provide  technical expertise to McArthur River Mine that encompasses aspects of civil engineering design, project management, reporting, QA/QC processes, documentation for approvals and reporting in line with regulatory requirements, developing project scopes and annual budgets, medium and long-term planning, and budgeting; with an expectation to continually improve processes and management to achieve targets in a safe and cost-effective manner. To ensure quality, financial and output targets are met.Key Duties and Responsibilities: Project Management including developing scopes and budgets, tendering, managing consultants and contractors, scheduling, financial control, reporting, developing execution and quality plans to ensure specifications are met, reviewing and approving QA/QC documentation, delivering final documentation in accordance with specifications, standards, budgets and project management plan.Provide technical expertise and guidance to internal stakeholders to aid decision making processes relevant to development and operation of the NOEF. Actively share knowledge and provide visible leadership to other team members in the workgroup, and ensure compliance to company policies, standards, and procedures.The ideal applicant for the role should possess: An eye for detail, excellent house-keeping and genuine pride in your area of work Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) Experience in civil earthworks design, construction, operation, and management 5 years Leadership experience and training The desire to make a lasting contribution at MRM and the wider Glencore groupAs a Glencore team member, we want to set you up for success.
