Full-time permanent position | Monday to Friday | Sundays Available Competitive Salary (pay range between $75,000 – $90,000 p.a. depending on experience) + Super + Incentives + Career Development Supportive Team + Culture | Fast-growing | Family Owned and Operated Predominately morning and day shift – no night baking Earlyrise Baking Co is looking for a Cake and Pastry Supervisor to lead and oversee all aspects of the day to day running of the Cake and Pastry team! Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will use your extensive experience working with various cakes and pastries (food manufacturing preferred) to lead and promote your team members to ensure that we continue to make what we think are the tastiest flaky and buttery croissants, cakes, slices and hundreds of eclairs and tarts. You will be a driven Cake and Pastry Supervisor and will use your initiative to identify continuous improvement opportunities and value an inclusive working environment with a strong culture of collaboration across the Cake and Pastry team. ABOUT THE ROLE In your role as a Cake and Pastry Supervisor, your key responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to: Responsible for leading and managing Cake and Pastry Team Members and ensuring all required work areas are set up and are operating correctly. Coordinate and manage the Cake and Pastry Department requirements including resources, activities/duties of Cake and Pastry Members as well as equipment, ingredients and materials. Ensure that Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety procedures are followed. Ensure that Work Health and Safety standards and policies are adhered to and following up on any reported issues or concerns. ABOUT YOU The perfect Cake and Pastry Supervisor will have previous bakery experience (preferably within the food and beverage manufacturing industry) with demonstrated supervising or leadership experience and hold a special combo of the right skills, experience and attitude: You hold a Certificate III in Cake and Pastry Qualification or related field Your previous leadership experience will give you the confidence to step into the role and make an immediate impact. You are a people person who’ll lead and manage a diverse team through communicating effectively and be committed to achieving results as a team. Your organisational and coordination abilities ensure that when things are busy it doesn’t get you down because you can easily prioritise to make sure everything gets done. You are computer savvy with previous Microsoft Office and Excel skills. You have previous experience using a software or are willing to learn. Most importantly – you consider yourself a “foodie”.
