The Opportunity With a significant pipeline of opportunities identified across the Rail and Communications sectors, UGL are seeking to appoint a Contracts Manager to provide contractual expertise across significant contracts within the current portfolio. Key responsibilities include Upstream Undertake robust contract and commercial analysis of issues, prospective claims, prospect & viability of active claims Provide advice to project teams on upstream contract interpretations, in particular in relation to claims and disputes Ensure accurate contractual records are maintained, including correspondence, contract change management, delays, extensions of time, warranties and other contract management matters. Ensure projects implement a robust program/schedule that supports delay and prolongation claims, participate in schedule reviews with project team as required Downstream Take leading role in subcontractor engagement processes, ensuring adequate controls and risk management procedures are adopted to ensure commercial objectives are achieved to promote positive project outcomes Requirements to be successful Confident level of experience in a contract management related role within an or construction management environments. Including NOD/EOT/Variation management Ability to achieve outcomes in an environment of managing complex stakeholder relationships, including key business partners. Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
