The School of Environmental and Rural Science (ERS) offers a range of course options for students looking to specialise in the environmental sciences and management, agricultural and rural sciences and management. We offer Bachelor degrees in Agriculture, Agrifood Systems, Animal Science, Agriculture and Business, Environmental Science, Geo Sciences, Plant Sciences, Rural Science and Zoology. Postgraduate courses include Honours, Graduate Certificates, Graduate Diplomas, coursework and Research Masters degrees, and PhD.

Meat Science is one of 26 study areas offered within the School of Environmental and Rural Science. The Meat Science group carries out a combination of research and teaching with research being largely focused on the environmental, biological, processing and further processing factors that influence meat quality.

What you'll need to succeed Provide support and general administrative assistance to experiments and sensory sampling procedures, in collaboration with other laboratory staff and technicians. Ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures and the review and update of project management specific processes/procedures as required. Assist in the conduct of research and monitoring of projects ensuring the accurate collection of data. Assist with technical duties of both the research team and sensory research tasks. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive project/projects outcome. Attend to travel logistics (accommodation bookings, vehicle requirements, site access and coordination with project participants and research partners) and complete fieldwork forms including risk assessments and travel diaries. Ensure knowledge of the Rules, Policies and Procedures of the University (available on the University website) is maintained and abide by them as they are amended, varied or replaced from time to time.
