LiveLife Pharmacy Birtinya are seeking a Bachelor of Pharmacy graduate who has their provisional AHPRA registration and wishes to undertake their internship to become a Pharmacist. The following outlines the key components of this role; Complete 1824 hours mandatory pharmacist internship hours Undertake the full competencies of a Pharmacy Intern in accordance with the modern Award and Pharmacy Intern position description Pass the Board Registration Examination Efficient and accurate provision of medicines (including dispensary and over the counter items) and health information under the supervision of a registered Pharmacist Work with the dispensary and Front of Shop teams to ensure best greetings and minimal wait times for prescriptions Mark of and put away medications Promote and conduct pharmacy service such as MedAdvisor, Blood Pressure Checks, vaccinations, DAA services Under the direction of the Pharmacist in Charge, the intern will: receive prescriptions and ensure optimal dosage and methods of administration and drug compatibility before dispensing prepare the preparation and labelling of liquid medicines, ointments, powders, tablets and other medications to fill prescriptions advise patients on drug incompatibility and contra-indications review and monitor the medicine therapy of individual patients and assess the effectiveness of the total medicine therapy maintain prescription files for patients conduct stock takes on dispensary items store and preserve vaccines, serums and other drugs subject to deterioration advise on over the counter medicines, and diagnostic and therapeutic aids Annual Salary $60,000 We operate 7 days per week so your roster may include weekend shifts.
