Hays is proud to be partnering with Mackillop Catholic College in the search of a motivated professional in the Senior IT Support space. Your new role

As the Senior IT Support Officer, you will be accountable for the coordination and efficient, effective delivery of a wide range of ICT systems and services. In your role you will provide enhancements to the college's operations and students outcomes through effective delivery of IT support duties. In this role you will deal with a range of complex or specialised responsibilities specific to ICT.

You will also coordinate customisations, upgrades, and reporting functionality for the college databases. Additionally, you will contribute to the planning, testing and implementation and review of programs and infrastructure upgrades and ensure that users are informed of any current and potential impact on services. Additionally, you will provide consultation and work with the ICT manager to establish guidelines, standard operating procedures and provide support.

The Senior IT Support Officer will also be responsible for the resolution of complex problems in the ICT area as well as the planning and implementation of routine maintenance and upgrades at non-peak times, and also effectively communicate and notify of any interruptions to all users.

What you'll need to succeed

Successful applicants will have completed a Diploma or higher qualification in or possess equivalent proven experience. Applicants will need to have a high level of written and verbal communication skills as well as possess a strong aptitude for IT support and the flexibility and knowledge to manage a wide array of support, both technical and physical in nature. The ideal applicant will be able to work effectively and collaboratively with other staff and members of the school community to assist in achieving enhanced learning outcomes. Candidates will need to possess or be capable of obtaining a Working With Vulnerable Peoples Check as well as a National Police Check.
