About the Position Job DescriptionMott MacDonald is looking to expand its capability and offering to clients with a focus on Integration and T&C for transport applications. With many complex transport projects looking to commission and place systems into passenger by 2025 and later 2030, we anticipate a strong demand for professionals focusing on the back end of projects, testing and operational acceptance. Mott MacDonald is looking to build an industry leading Integration and T&C Team in .

As Technical Director - Integration and Testing you will be involved in numerous transport projects and at different points in their lifecycle. You will assist clients in: Creation of high-level test plans and frameworks incorporating integration and safety milestones Definition of integration and test architecture e.g. lab and field environments Creation of fault management processes and regression testing processes and supportive architecture Creation of verification processes, workflows and Product Breakdown Structures Candidate SpecificationWork within the Mott MacDonald Testing, Commissioning and Integration team by gathering and building capabilities in Mott MacDonald to place complex rail systems into passenger service. You will also liaise with key worldwide members of Mott MacDonald to build operational and technical integration capability. Additionally you will: Develop training and briefing material for the Mott MacDonald Rail Academy (worldwide) Develop Rail Systems Integration strategies, plans and roadmaps Lead stakeholder meetings involving various contracts (Stations, Linewide, Trains and Systems) to represent Systems Integration (SI) and monitor progress and support in conflict resolution. Undertake reviews of system integration reports, progress updates and monitoring mechanisms provided by the Integrator covering multiple organizations and systems Monitor SI issues and risks on the project reported by the Integrator such that the system integration issues could be identified as early as possible and assist in their timely resolution to minimize impacts Generation and review of test procedures, witness and participate in SI acceptance tests to assess the pass-fail criteria and capture defects of key SI functions in preparation for trial running. Engaging with project team, client and external stakeholders as necessary to identify requirements and develop project solutions. Coordinating with other systems and rail disciplines and actively participating in interdisciplinary workshops and risk assessments.
