About the Position Provide comprehensive, evidence-based functional recovery and psychological interventions to young people. Act as 2IC providing on-site clinical leadershipheadspace Early Psychosis program is divided into 3 areas - Functional Recovery Team (FRT), Mobile Assessment Treatment Team (MATT) and Continuing Care Team.headspace Early Psychosis is an early intervention for young people aged 12 to 25 years, that runs alongside headspace. The service provides long term case management and therapeutic intervention (up to 5 years) to young people who are experiencing a first episode of psychosis or shorter term (6 months) to those who are at risk of experiencing psychosis. Psychosis involves the experience of symptoms such as, confused thinking, false beliefs (delusions), hallucinations, changes in mood - such as ongoing depression and changed behaviours, such as irrational anger.Psychologist or Occupational Therapist or Social Worker or Registered NurseFull time in Mr Druitt + some Work from Home$80k - $90k base depending on experience +Super +Generous salary packaging benefitsRole OverviewThe Senior Clinician role is an integral role of the leadership structure acting as the 2IC providing onsite clinical leadership to the functional recovery team. This role will support line manager in effective and efficient management of team resources including being the first point of contact for all clinicians/team. Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:As a senior clinician, providing mentoring and clinical supervision as required to colleagues and students to support the teamWork as a part of the multidisciplinary team to ensure timely access for young people and familiesProvide comprehensive early intervention and care co-ordination to young people to assist them in achieving the goals and actions outlined in their care/management plan.Participate in clinical review and supervision, ensuring service standards are met.Ensure high quality of service delivery, commitment to ethics, and values by working within the principles of Best Practice in Mental Health Service delivery. Essential Criteria:Approved tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline and eligibility for membership with APHRA or AASW or the appropriate professional bodyMinimum 3 -5 years demonstrated experience (excluding clinical placements) within the mental health field including delivering contemporary, evidence-based practices and therapeutic interventions appropriate for young people presenting with first episode psychosis and high-risk clients An understanding of recovery model principles and ability to implement these in clinical practiceAbility to effectively engage consumers and their families, as well as other stakeholders, including the ability to be creative and flexible Knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Mental Health Act (2007) and the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act (1998) and other relevant legislationCurrent Important Company Driver's License no -- Principals only.
