Your new role Based on recent growth in the Tasmanian region, Cleanaway is looking for an experienced Health and Safety Business Partner to join our team. This role is designed to support the various sites and contracts Cleanaway has and comply with Commonwealth legislation. With time in the field and a hands on approach, you will be able to demonstrate visual leadership and build essential relationships with current employees.
You will use your training qualifications to help assess current employees and deliver necessary face to face training.
Key responsibilities of this role include: Use your Health and Safety knowledge and experience to support and mentor employees to ensure they work in a safe environment Lead safety awareness and compliance activities including assisting with Hazard identification and Risk Assessments Ensure all new and existing employees and contractors are compliant with the defined training requirements as per the Cleanaway Training Framework Support sites to conduct incident investigations and identify appropriate Root Cause, Contributing Factors and implementing suitable corrective actions to prevent a reoccurrence Critical thinking
Your skills and experience Minimum 5 years practical experience in a similar role Diploma qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety, or other relevant disciplines Certificate IV Training & Assessment (essential) Experience with delivering face to face and competency based training packages Ability to influence and drive change through Health and Safety initiatives and programs Qualifications in Incident Investigations such as ICAM or Tap Root
