About the Position                  

                    Finite are working with their partners to assist Defence and Industry in delivering some the most advanced, critical, complex, strategic acquisition and sustainment programs in our nation's history. As a result of continued success and trust; we are seeking Systems Safety Engineers with safety in design experience to help deliver cutting edge systems within Defence aerospace.Our client is offering multiple contract opportunities to highly skilled systems and safety engineers who will be embedded into their inter-disciplinary design teams to develop and manage cutting edge technologies. Responsibilities Provide expertise in developing System Safety contract deliverables for new equipment acquisitions, including System Safety Program Plans, Hazard Logs and Safety Case ReportsEnsure that professional  technical and operational support is accurate, safe, on-time and on-budget to support project Using systems engineering methodologies to gather and elicit requirements to then plan, design, develop and verify systems; within the systems safety remit Assist in the delivery of system safety engineering solutions and advice for projects undertaken within a structured Safety Engineering methodology such as MIL-STD-882C/ELiaise with senior engineering stakeholders to manage the re-review of engineering design changes and proposals Actively promote the benefits of Systems Safety across the organisation Skills&Experience Degree level qualifications in Safety, Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Systems Engineering or a suitable combined engineering discipline Demonstrated experience within an engineering discipline, preferably in a defence environment Demonstrated design experience In depth knowledge of Systems Engineering or Safety Engineering frameworks and methodologiesMust have strong communication skills, both written and verbal Must hold an Australian Defence Clearance of
