With expertise ranging across protected mobility vehicles, naval support services, integrated communications solutions, and vast international capabilities, this company has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Systems Safety Engineer to join the team in Brisbane.

Your new role
In your role as a Systems Safety Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:                    

                      
• Supporting the delivery of solutions/products in line with our Systems Safety Management System, including requirements deviation and management
                      
• Authoring and reviewing key artifacts including Hazard Logs, Risk Assessments, Safety Cases, Declaration of Solutions Safety and also Certificates of Design
                      
• Participating and/or chairing System Safety Working Groups, Safety Review Boards and other Safety Committees and Workshops
                      
• Supporting Project Design Authorities / Solution  Managers in achieving compliance with Legislation, Regulations and Standards applicable to the product(s)
                      
• Supporting the embedding of an enduring system safety capability and culture
                    

                    
What you'll need to succeed                    
To be successful in this role you will possess a relevant tertiary qualification coupled with experience in a similar position within a safety critical environment. You will also possess:                    

                      
• Defence industry experience
                      
• Proven experience in conducting independent assurance activities (e.g., auditing) and a demonstrated sound understand of Systems Engineering processes
                      
• Working knowledge of Safety Legislation, Industry Regulation and Technical Standards
