About the Position We're looking for talented and ambitious individuals to join our regional team. You will be joining the business as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer within a multidisciplinary team. This role is ideal for anyone who is looking to further develop their experience, knowledge, and responsibilities within the energy sector.POST TITLE: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

- This position will require you to participate as a member of the design team in delivering technical excellence through the development of bespoke and innovative design solutions. You will be responsible for the management and delivery of projects and coordination of engineering services.LOCATION: Ringwood MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Leading in the delivery of a variety of design projects in the energy sector. Work alongside other team members to ensure that projects/programmes of varying size and complexity are delivered successfully to time, quality, and budget expectations.Coordinating a multi-disciplinary engineering design team of dedicated and knowledgeable technical and project management professionals Coordinating stakeholder management including attending meetings, writing reports and giving presentations. Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues.Actively promote a culture of teamwork. Communicate and meet with the nominated internal project lead as required during the duration of the project. Ensure allocated elements of project work are delivered on time. Develop and manage a portfolio of reference information pertaining to specifications to develop and enhance understanding of technical aspects of designs.Practice and promote the company's Health and Safety and Environmental Policy. Practice and promote use of the Union Square document management system and provide constructive feedback to facilitate the continual improvement of this system. Actively engage with other business stakeholders to resolve any queries.Any other duties as agreed between the post-holder and management. QUALIFICATIONS: Essential factors: - Degree qualified in an appropriate discipline (or equivalent) Desirable factors: - Chartered Engineer (or working towards this qualification), Registered G/17 Approver/Appraiser (or working towards this qualification),Holder of a Utility SHEA (Gas) Upstream EUSR card Safe Control of Operations (Competent Persons) SCO 1&2 trained. EXPERIENCE: Essential factors: - Experienced in working within a multidiscipline team. Experienced in the managing and monitoring of a project program and deliverables. Desirable factors: - A minimum of 5 years' experience in an energy related industry in a design role Experience in the use of CAD software packages such as AutoCAD/Plant 3DExperience in the use of Microsoft Project and/or Gantt charts SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES: Essential factors: - Ability to plan, prioritise and achieve deadlines. A desire to continuously develop technical competence and knowledge through targeted CPD and self-led study. Be able to work using their own initiative with support from senior engineers as needed.Demonstrate good attention to detail and show pride in the work produced. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent written/verbal communication skills. Desirable factors: - Identify opportunities to innovate and improve business processes/performance. WE'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU: Have experience in leading and delivering projects in the energy sector.Are proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of applications. Have a passion for helping shape and influence the future of the energy sector. Have a working knowledge of MS Project. Have good written and verbal communication skills. Can work effectively with colleagues and with a professional approach to external clients.Have an enquiring approach with a desire to explore innovative ideas. Can work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Are an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer or are working towards professional recognition.
