is recruiting for a

Process Improvement Engineer

for a permanent position at our Bunbury Operations in the idyllic South West of WA. The position is based primarily at our Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) Refinery at Kemerton, but will also work across our finishing plant at Australind, providing challenge and variety. The successful candidate will be accountable for providing technical expertise to process, quality, reliability and cost improvement projects to ensure the on-going success of the business, whilst maintaining a safe working environment.This role is offered on a permanent full time basis, 9 day fortnight, 38 hour average week.

Key Accountabilities The Process Improvement Engineer will be responsible for: Championing process safety within the business.Performing design calculations, developing technical scopes and review/approval of documents. Planning and coordinating projects from concept to commissioning. Utilising the Management of Change and Process Hazards Analysis procedures. Providing support to the Production Department in plant and equipment monitoring.Undertaking formal investigations into process incidents and underperforming processes. Participating in the TRONOX regional‘Centre of Excellence’ program. Leading the development and implementation of innovation analytical tools for the business

About You

To be successful in this role you will ideally possess: A Bachelors Degree in Chemistry / Chemical / Process Engineering or another relevant discipline. Significant post graduate experience in process engineering, ideally gained within a similarly complex fixed plant environment. Previous experience in leading process engineering projects.A strong working knowledge of relevant Australian Standards. Previous experience in leading teams and influencing around Continuous Improvement and LEAN principles would be advantageous.
