Job Description                   Elevator and escalator installations Elevator and escalator modernisations Mechanical and Electrical installations Various other roles in the elevator and escalator industry           Responsibilities include the following:As a lift mechanic with Vertical Transport Solutions, your duties will include:               Manages the equipment installation environment during installation activities and on-site communication with the client representative. Examining blueprints, wiring diagrams and specifications to determine sequences and methods of operationMeasuring and laying out installation reference pointsSelecting, cutting and connecting wire and cable to terminals and connectors                 Using electrical and electronic test instruments to trace and diagnose faults Responsible for safe, high quality, and timely installation of the equipment following installation methods throughout the installation process Repairing and replacing faulty wiring and defective parts Positioning and installing electrical switchboards Connecting electrical systems to power supply Testing continuity of circuit Installing, testing and adjusting electric and mechanical parts of lifts Designing, installation, maintenance, servicing and repair of electric and hydraulic passenger and freight lifts, moving walkways and other lift equipment Responsible for reporting installation progress, quality issues and customer feedback to the installation supervisor Responsible for site documentation relating to time keeping, quality feedback, etc May be required by the supervisor to give training/coaching to trainees and helpers                       Skills and Experience required                    Must have white card At least 2 years work experience with installing elevators and escalators Electrical licence for Electrical positions Preferable if you have AQF Certificate III, including at least two years of on the job training or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3) This position will cover all New Equipment process installation Good team player, attention to detail and strong work ethic Current Driver's License                         Salary$80,000 - $85,000 + superannuation
