About the Position Civil engineers looking for a contractor with less hours. $100-180k super vehicle. No weekends. Our client is a contractor that is genuinely unique in that it provides their staff the opportunity to work on the client side, the contractor side, or design management. Imagine having the option to work Saturday's and if so, get paid overtime. They provide infrastructure services to predominately rail and civil clients and operators across . Providing project management, development, technical advice, constructibility and management. Additionally they provide a site project engineering , servicing contractors, however with no long hours, or weekend work, providing the best of both worlds This is a huge difference, same site based roles, same major projects, same experience, but no weekends, more money, variety of projects every 6 months, and potential for overtime With a huge focus on their staff, they invest in not only training but their well being, social activities, extra days off, eliminating burn out. Their upper management, directors and owners are second to none in regards to experience, with a wealth of knowledge and contacts across the Victorian Infrastructure industry. With contacts and relationships with all the major rail and road organisations, this is an opportunity to work and learn from some of the best. Your new role You will be working under an experienced Senior Project Manager or Director, and servicing a number of different clients across various rail and road projects, assisting clients, operators or contractors. You will be seconded onto major projects, but have the option to put your hand up and ask for a change. They encourage variety, of both roles and projects. With an office of 35 they like engineers that have came from the contractor delivery side, consultancy or client side organisation. They are an evolving, entrepreneurial and forward thinking young organisation, focused on staff retention and staff growth. What you'll need to succeed All candidates will be degree qualified in engineering and have 4- 10 years experience working for ideally a Victorian contractor. Site Engineer or Project Engineer background. Rail / Major Roads experience- civils, structures, earthworks etc A recognised Victorian organisation. Understand the rail or highways, water, industry, exposure to operators and contractors. Procurement of consultants services Design management Project experience $20m Desire to be involved in in feasibility studies, writing business cases, producing constructability reports Communication and writing skills, and stakeholder interaction must be second to none as the role will be heavily client facing. What you'll get in return Salaries range between $100k- $170k supervehicle initially. This is a long term career move.
