Ongoing full-time opportunity Location negotiable, flexible working arrangement Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $137,047 to $150,409 + super The Department of Planning and Environment is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Team Leader, Animal Research Ethics to join our Environment&Heritage Group division. The Senior Team Leader Animal Research Ethics is responsible for leading and optimising the provision of high quality, client focused services that supports, the effective operation of Department’s Animal Ethics Committee and Departmental researchers to ensure the highest standards of animal welfare are achieved in accordance with the NSW animal research legislation and the Australian code for the care and use of animals for scientific purposes.About You Key knowledge and experience Superior knowledge of the operational and strategic requirements to implement a complex regulatory and governance program, and analysis in the context of current policy and legislative frameworks. Demonstrated experience in leadership in a regulatory role.Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and monitoring policies and guidelines and experience of gaining cooperation of diverse stakeholders in a environment. Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and guidelines the ability to quickly understand animal research including emerging technologies and practises.Demonstrated experience in providing advice at an executive level, including the preparation of reports and advice on sensitive matters. Knowledge of research, conservation and animal welfare issues legislation, policies and procedures.
