We are Volkswurst, Sydney’s most popular German Food Truck.We bring the food, drinks and entertainment to any party.We are currently looking to build on our existing fun experience with someone who can curate, dance and teach European/German style to our guests and operate some basic kitchenhand tasks.Are you looking for interesting role in hospitality with new fun experiences every week?About us:We exist to turn any event or function into a party, by providing high quality German food and drinks, friendly and efficient  and entertainment for those ‘Oktoberfest’ style events, sharing a real European cultural experience. We do all this from our fan favourite, VW Kombi food trucks.What we’re looking for:We’re looking for someone with at least 5 years’ experience in teaching European/German dancing to join our team to provide dancing lessons that are integrated into our service offerings. This role will also consist of basic kitchenhand tasks while not dancing and some business operations.What this involves:- Choreographing European/German and other dances- Ability to independently conduct live dance instruction and coordinate entertainment events for up to 50-100 people- Experienced in teaching children and can entertain large crowds- Perform solo and partner dances, able to dance with our guests- Driving our 2 1970s Kombis to and from events- Preparing, cooking and serving food- Communicating with customers and collecting payments- Managing stock and communicating with suppliers- Managing calendars and preparing for events- Managing staffWe are hiring for a full-time role, at award rate.About you:- Reliable and punctual- Forward thinking and take initiative in problem solving and customer interactions- A people person, friendly and a good communicator- Entertainer and outgoing- Passionate about dancing, food and creating a great experience- Have interest in European culture- Have at least 5 years’ experience in teaching dancing, with experience in European/German dancing- Able to take responsibility to manage operations- Confident to give and receive critical feedback- An eagerness to learn and a can-do attitudeWhy join us:- Fun working environment, with new experiences at every event- Excite your passion of dancing and entertaining through a multi-layered food truck experience- Flexible hours- Learn to manage and operate a hospitality/entertainment business- Plenty of potential to grow with the business and take on more responsibilitiesIf our company interests you, please reach out to Beau and Pascal (owners) for a chat, we’d love to get to know you!
