About the Position                  

                                         Worker Sub-Type:Regular                     Job Description:                      SENIOR CYBER THREAT RESEARCHER ()                     BlackBerry is seeking a driven Senior Cyber Threat Researcher to contribute to a team that produces comprehensive threat reports, provides actionable malware intelligence, and supports ongoing investigations for the Cylance cybersecurity platform and products. You will be a motivated, self-starter with a passion for cyber security who is continually looking to research and mitigate new threats. Working as part of a small specialized team, you will partner with  teams and Customers, to develop products with the highest levels of security.                     ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES                     

                    
• Hunts and discovers previously unidentified and emerging threats through malware and network analysis.
                    
• Performs long term adversarial research projects.
                    
• Provides mitigation solutions for current and emerging threats using BlackBerry Cylance technologies.
                    
• Analyzes current and new exploit vectors and techniques for gaining and maintaining access.
                    
• Discovers, tracks, and correlates attacker-related command and control infrastructure.
                    
• Stays up-to-date on the latest security/threat analysis techniques and tools; attends applicable training, conferences, and learns new tools as needed.
                    
• Learns and develops new skills quickly as needed.
                    
• Protects Cylance operations by keeping information confidential.
                    
• Performs other duties as assigned.
                    
• Leverages tools to perform similar actions to red teams against controlled systems.
                    

                     EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE                     

                    
• Minimum 7 years related experience in network forensic analysis, malware/threat analysis, and/or other technical security.
                    
• Bachelor's or high-level degree preferred; relevant experience can be substituted for educational degree.
