Kiddies on First is a long day care centre catering for children aged 1-6 years of age located in Five Dock, NSW We are currently seeking an enthusiastic person to be a full time trainee at our . The centre operates 7:30 - 6:00pm monday to Friday. Requirements: - You will need to be passionate about working with children and have a genuine love of children. Be a supportive team member.
- If over 18, a WWCC number for paid employment
- Be punctual and reliable
- A willing learner and be committed to complete studies on time.
- Be well presented and posess a good work ethic.
- Be able to work within a supportive team
Training for the traineeship includes knowledge of child development, child protection, first aid, ethical and legal considerations, cultural competence, sustainability, policy and procedures, regulations and legislations etc. Your main duties include but are not limited to: - Assisting the room leader and other educators to implement the education program
- Contributing to the education program
- Supervision of children
- Engaging with children and extending their interests through a play based curriculum
- General cleaning duties
- Meeting the dietary requirements and routine requirements for children including those with medical conditions
- Attend relevant training and staff meetings
