About the Position This position is remote; however, must be able to commute onsite for occasional meetings in Falls Church, VA and Washington, DC. Responsibilities: HOW A SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: Provides technical leadership and support in the areas of IT innovation, solution specification/design, and target architecture. Engages with diverse customer base to understand critical needs, socialize, and vet solutions, and advise on strategies to shape acquisitions that achieve desired results. Collaborates with other Solutions Architect within GDIT to identify and bring the best technical and business strategies and solutions to differentiate GDIT. Advises/drives process/application modernization initiatives. Leads and develops technical responses for RFI's and RFP's. Participates in RFIs/RFPs for software and technology evaluations. Leads the ideation and development of innovative and differentiating technical and solutions that support capture and growth strategies. Coordinates "reach back" with other technical subject matter experts (SME) within GDIT to obtain specific knowledge or expertise to address technical issue. WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: BA/BS and 15 years of relevant experience. 10+ years systems architecture experience across numerous technology platforms 5+ years of experience developing technical proposals and supporting capture. Strong knowledge of , including all layers of the IT stack Experience architecting and/or leading application modernization initiatives. Must have a very strong application development background. Experience developing lifecycle cost estimates for technical solutions. Working knowledge of cloud computing, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD and DevSecOps, Managed Services. Strong communication skills (writing, speaking, and listening); ability to articulate solutions and rationale for design decisions. no -- Principals only.
