About the Position An exciting opportunity to work with a respectable State Govt who are seeking an experience Manager Superloads
Your new company
This well-known State Government Organisation is currently seeking an experience Manager - Superloads to lead a fee for team of technical experts who assess requests for heavy vehicles to access the Victorian road network. This position will be responsible for the assessments made by the team in relation to the impact of superloads on the structures (including overseeing the quality assurance process) and any restrictions and travel monitoring conditions that should apply to ensure a safe, efficient and sustainable network.

Your new role
As a Manager - Superloads, you will be responsible for the following below: Project Management: Well developed project management skills to plan and coordinate superload moves ensuring high quality service is delivered on budget and on time to superload proponents and cost estimating/quoting practices enable the team to remain financially sustainable. Management: Ensure that engineering assessments have been completed in accordance with relevant standards, specifications and technical requirement including Government policy, structural load status, access requirements, asset performance and heavy vehicle operational requirements to minimise the impact on state assets. Effective People Leadership: Provide effective leadership, people management and support to their team. Enhanced Collaboration with Industry: Ensure there is a focus on customer service and proactive and consultative engagement with industry to build a positive reputation with key players in the heavy vehicle industry

What you'll need to succeed
The successful person will need to have a tertiary qualification in engineering as well as relevant experience in working in a Manager level role and to have also managed a large team, as well as strong structural engineering design capability (preferably bridge design). You will also have strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
