About the Position Experienced Steel fixer/Labourer, Leading hand with EWP Ticket.r>Endacom - We are experts in tunnelling, formwork, shotcrete, and excavation, in the construction industry that requires exacting standards, knowledge, and more than anything else, experience to properly execute tasks.r>We are looking for an enterprising steel fixer/Labourer to join our construction team.he responsibilities of the steel fixer include following plans, using hand and power tools, cutting and bending steel bars and mesh, and connecting rebar with wire, clips, or welds to build-up sections.r>ResponsibilitiesMust have welding experience.r>Setting out work areas and determining the required materials.r>Using hand and power tools to cut and bend steel bars and mesh.r>Laying out steel bars, mesh, rods, and framework.r>Hoisting steel bars, mesh, and reinforcements into place.r>Fitting spacers and supports.r>Joining steel reinforcement bars rebar, footings, and girders by welding or with clips or wires.r>Fixing steel bars and mesh to solid concrete bases.r>Using rebar to build casts that will keep setting concrete in place.r>Preparing concrete, mixing sand, cement, and water, and pouring the concrete into the prepared casts.r>Key CriteriaA completed apprenticeship in steel fixingA completed "Work Safely at Heights" short course.r>An NVQ certification in steel fixing be advantageous.r>Basic work experience in construction be advantageous.r>A good understanding of health and safety issues.r>The ability to read and follow technical plans and drawings.r>The ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.r>A head for heights.r>Good physical fitness.r>Strong practical and teamwork skills.r>Job summaryWe are looking for an enterprising steel fixer/Labourer to join our construction team.WP is must.r> no -- Principals only.
