The Hotel Windsor is an iconic Australian hotel embodying the architecture and elegance of a European style 'Grand Hotel', situated on Spring Street and located at the 'Paris' end of Melbourne. Our beautiful hotel currently has a full time position available for an experienced Painter to join our maintenance team.                    About the Role                    The role will see you being responsible for maintaining paint work throughout this Historic heritage listed building, as well as maintaining painting works at the groups other properties, including Sunda, Aru & Parcs restaurants and Kudo bakery, plus additional business as the group expands. This role is predominantly Monday – Friday, with the occasional rotating 1 day, weekend shift.                      Duties include but are not limited to:                    

                    
• Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping/ using sandpaper, removing old paint and wallpaper
                    
• Filling holes and crack with appropriate material and sealing surfaces
                    
• Mixing paint and other materials to prepare the right colors and textures to ensure a seamless look & finish
                    
• Responsible for the maintenance and security of all necessary tools & equipment used for the job, (eg, brushes, rollers, ladders etc) to ensure seamless work and longevity 
                    
• Prioritise and attend to urgent repairs 
                    
• Ensure OHS & Safety protocols are followed at all times, ensuring your safety and that of colleagues and guests
                    
• Observing company fire and safety regulations and encouraging safe working habits
                    

                    Skills & Experience                    

                    
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position 
                    
• Previous experience in Heritage buildings an advantage (not essential)
                    
• Attention to detail
                    
• Compliance to OHS regulations
                    
• Efficiency and proactive attitude
