About the Position LCI Partners is a well-established accounting firm who are currently seeking a taxation accountant to join their Parramatta or Sutherland Shire office. The position would suit someone who is able to work as both part of a team and autonomously.You will be working directly with a senior manager, gaining direct training and support. You will be encouraged to engage regularly with clients and maintain strong relationships whilst attending to the following:preparing taxation returns for individuals, organisations and self-managed superannuation funds preparing financial statements for presentation to boards of directors, management, shareholders, and governing and statutory bodies preparing tax statements, financial statements, and BAS statements at required intervals creating and returning statements and documents to clients by set deadlines providing assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements identifying areas where clients and businesses can reduce tax, make claims and increase profit liaising with financial institutions and brokers to establish funds management arrangements introducing and maintaining accounting systems, and advising on the selection and application of computer-based accounting systems regularly reviewing systems and making updates and improvements where necessary liaising with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other regulatory bodies when required engaging regularly with clients and maintaining strong relationshipsThe minimum requirements the successful candidate will possess include the following:A tertiary qualification or higher in accounting or equivalent such as a bachelor degree or higher qualification ANSZCO Skill Level 1 A minimum of 3-years relevant experience within a public practice accounting firm Ideally be familiar with software such as Xero, Important Company, BGL and Microsoft Office Commenced or planning to commence the CPA programThe candidate should be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and honest.
