About the Position A global insurance company is hiring for a Pricing&Underwriting Analyst/Actuary to play a key strategic role to ensure financial stability and profitable growth of their general insurance business. The role will be based in the Brisbane office and reporting to the Head of Pricing&Underwriting, APAC. This is a full-time 12 months fixed-term contract opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

Undertake pricing activity for all products and clients using approved pricing methods.

Undertake routine reviews to observe differences between actual and expected experience, and adapt models accordingly.

Ensure regular and transparent reporting to executive management team and functional managers.

Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of the performance of products and contracts offered by the business unit.

Proactively identify opportunities to support profitable growth through a detailed knowledge of the business, and the overall market context.

Ensure full compliance in respect of the business Underwriting Standards, with any approved adaptations for local markets.

To be considered for the role:

Tertiary qualifications in actuarial or business studies desired.

At least 3 years of General Insurance pricing or underwriting experience.
