                        An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our Head Office Shared Services team in Dandenong South.                        About the role                        Reporting to the Senior Accountant - Shared Services, you will be responsible for but not limited to:                        
                            
  •                         
                                
    • Create and maintain supplier master files
    •                           
    • Liaise with and work with business unit managers with regard to supplier payments and managing supplier relationships
    •                           
    • Maintain and monitor supplier credit limit adherence and report any issues to business unit managers and senior accountant
    •                           
    • Review of aged creditor balances on an ongoing basis and investigate and follow up any balances overdue
    •                           
    • Monthly analysis of aged payables and key performance indicators
    •                           
    • Reconciliation of supplier accounts every month 
    •                           
    • Ensure correct allocation of supplier payments
    •                           
    • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in payment allocations
    •                           
    • Assisting with back office accounting activities as required and when requested.

                        About you                        
                            
  •                         
                                
    • 3+ years’ experience in a high volume Accounts Payable role
    •                           
    • Experience with Marlin software preferred but not essential
    •                           
    • Ability to take ownership of the accounts payable function
    •                           
    • Strong time-management skills and the ability to organise and coordinate multiple projects at once
    •                           
    • Intermediate-Advanced Excel
    •                           
    • High attention to detail and accurate reconciliation skills essential
    •                           
    • Expert IT skills with an aptitude to learn new software and systems
    •                           
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with clear concise written and verbal communication.
    •                           
    • A flexible team player willing to do what it takes to get the job done
    •                           
    • Adaptable and enjoys a challenge
    •                           
    • Detail oriented with the ability to communicate your work and findings effectively
    •                           
    • Values autonomy and uses your initiative to achieve positive outcomes
    •                           
    • Comfortable undertaking a variety of daily tasks, from critical thinking to the relatively routine
    •                           
    • Ability to prioritise and organise demands while working hard and under pressure to meet deadlines with accuracy
